About us

We believe that a trustworthy collaboration between the public and private sectors is vital for the advancement of education in today's digital age.

Welcome to Trustframework.eu, dedicated to fostering trustworthy and sustainable partnerships between educational institutions and Edtech vendors.

The relevant context that gave birth to this initiative is that public education finds itself, post-COVID, on the eve of rapid digitalization. In order to achieve the scale and pace of innovation, public education is expected to become more reliant on private EdTech companies. As private companies have a responsibility to shareholders, it will be of strategic importance to look after the public values in this transition. The Trust Framework is an initiative to establish long-term trustworthy EdTech partners for Education, securing and potentially strengthening the public values in education.

The Trustframework is a “coalition of the willing” from Higher Education experts, Edtech Founders, and representatives of the Dutch Edtech associations. We understand the importance of trust, transparency, and shared goals in driving innovation and improving educational outcomes. Therefore our mission is to provide a comprehensive framework that empowers both educational institutions and Edtech founders with the necessary tools and guidelines to establish such partnerships.

The TrustFramework is open source and is iteratively built based on rolling releases. Since this is a new field, and resources are limited, the expectation is that it will require a significant amount of iterations to get to a more consistent version over time.
